DEQ class (Marketing Energy Efficient Homes)

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality is offering a continuing education class titled "Marketing Energy Efficient Homes/New Montana Energy Code" for real estate professionals. This free class is approved by the Board of Realty Regulation to provide attendees with two elective credits.

This class provides attendees with comprehensive information on how to recognize and promote energy efficiency and enhanced air quality and comfort features in homes. This class has been presented throughout Montana to real estate professionals, builders, and the general public. Each class has been well attended and very well received.

This class is designed to provide knowledge and help real estate professionals better recognize and market the value of; increased insulation, upgraded windows, additional air sealing, ventilation, heating/cooling, alternative energy (solar), and radon control systems in the homes they represent. The session will also provide information on Montana energy tax credits that are available to most new homebuyers. This information and knowledge is a valuable tool to have in order to better serve your clients.
